God remembers His covenant forever

God’s relationship with humankind is based on a covenant. In fact, the Bible is a book of covenants. In Psalm 111:5 the Psalmist, who was an Israelite says of God, ‘He remembers His covenant forever. What is a covenant? What does it mean that God remembers His covenant forever?

God promised the New Covenant in Ezekiel 36:26, and it was fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus. The Psalmist says that God remembers His covenant, therefore you can go boldly to God’s throne. When God makes a commitment to humanity it is irrévocable.
