The most important thing about any human being is their vision of God and their relationship with God. It conditions our existence and determines not only our eternal destiny but also the quality of our life on the earth.
Here below are ten simple but powerful prayers to grow in the knowledge of God by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer for the revelation of God
1 1 John 3:1-3 Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children. And we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know Him. Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as He is pure.
In the name of Jesus
- Thank You Father for Your great love for me. Thank You that I am called a child of God, that indeed I AM a child of God.
- Father, by Your Spirit reveal Yourself to me as my Father.
- Father, I pray that every member of my family, of my church will come to know You as their Father.

Prayer for the work of the Holy Spirit
Romans 8:14-17 (HCSB) All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
In the name of Jesus,
- Thank You Father, for the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life and in my church.
- I submit to the Holy Spirit that He might lead me into the knowledge of God and into my destiny.
- I ask, Father, that every member of my family and my church will become sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that they will fully receive the testimony that He gives to the children of God.
- I pray that by the revelation of God I will be delivered from all forms of rejection, fear and anxiety so that I may live in a manner worthy of You.
- I thank You Father for the glorious heritage that You have given me in Christ Jesus and for empowering me to fully understand it by Your Spirit.
- I declare total freedom, by the power of the Spirit from all forms of slavery, fear, bondage and from all works of the devil.
- I ask You Father that I may grow in the knowledge of You, in all Your attributes and in the freedom of the Holy Spirit.
