Never forget that someone is waiting for you to succeed so they can know that it can be done. What you make of your challenges and your life either will spur others on to greatness or kill their spirit and confirm in them what naysayers have been telling them about what they cannot do. Many of us live as if we only lived unto ourselves, yet there is no greater power than the power of influence, and all of us in some measure have that power. No we do not live our lives to others, we live it to the glory of God; but the glory of God is further demonstrated as more people besides ourselves step into their calling and destiny and become what they were meant to be. And we have the power to inspire them. We all face obstacles, sometimes they are circumstantial, other times they are institutional, at other times they are mindset related.
Consequently we turn to God and say, ‘God what do you think you are doing, don’t you realize that…..? citing whatever hindrance makes it impossible to be what God wants us to be. But remember obstacles are meant to be overcome; resistance will crumble when faced with a tougher pressure coming from the other party, the things that stand in your way today you will laugh at tomorrow. As you break down resistance after resistance on your way to your destiny, your strength will increase. Years ago the Lord spoke to my heart and said ‘I am going to give you tensile strength’ I looked it up, it means “A measure of the ability of material to resist a force that tends to pull or tear it apart” consequently, it speaks of enduringness and permanence thanks to the ability to withstand stress or force, and I began to pray it into my life; it has served me well.
And I have seen people willing to obey God and serve God because of what they have seen me, a most unlikely candidate, do. Again as I prayed this morning I realized there was so much more yet to do, and God reminded me that this was not about me, about my victories and my successes. There are people whose lives will be taken to a new level when they see you succeed, those who hardly dared to believe they could do it who suddenly say, as someone said to me once, ‘if she can do it, I can’. I pray that you have tensile strength, that you best every opposition, and thrash every opponent to the glory of God and for the blessing and encouragement of others who will step into their destiny because you obeyed God.
